What is a keto diet? 

A ketogenic diet is one that is very low in carbs and high in fats. Keto diets require you to cut down carbohydrates to a very high extent and replacing it with fats. The process of cutting carbs and adding fats puts you into a metabolic state which is called ketosis.

Vegan vs Keto: What’s Better?

As a result of cutting down all carbs in your diet, keto helps you achieve weight loss very quickly. 

On the other hand, vegan food doesn’t permit animal-sourced food as well as dairy, which again helps in significant weight loss. 

So if you compare the two only with the view of losing kilos quickly, it’s going to be a keto diet. Although, keto diets really tend to make people feel tired and low on energy. In our opinion, it is an unhealthy diet and weight loss shouldn’t just be about shedding those extra kilos.

Remember, if you’re solely switching to a vegan diet to lose weight, you will need to plan your meals carefully. Adding proteins, vitamin B12 and dairy substitutes equally will be very important. 

There are many different types of vegan foods so don’t miss out on your research because the more options you have, the better you can curate your meals. And of course, a vegan diet is not enough to lose weight.
